The Colors
Green,yellow, red and blue
these are some of the feeling I knew
Green with envy but
mostly sick
I think I ate some bad food
The butter run quick
Green is the color of money
Something we all need
But it is the color of greed
So this warning you must head
Better to lose then have it taken away
Because a greedy man can't feel happy anyway
A greedy man never has enough
He or she always looks at live as being rough
Yellow is a color
I rarely felt
It is a fear that life has dealt
It is a feminine color that a man of might
Would not ever use to describe his plight
It is the color of ribbons for hostages taken by force
But it is not the ribbons of medals of choice
Not a tough color all the same
But depict some emotions invain
Red is the color of
passion I feel
As an artist it is my strongest emotions to express zeal
The color of anger in a rage
Of kindled passion by a sage
The color of love
But often written as lust
The color of blood spilled over a fuss
Blue is a color I
have felt
at my darkest time when I have knelt
It is the color of sadness that burns
As my heart asks for forgiveness that I must learn
Blue is a masculine color for men
Much more acceptable than yellow again
At times I sing the blues
Because of all of the anguish that I knew
