I am the Sunset Artist. I am a former Long Island University art student who eventually changed my major to psychology. I thought at the time I didn't have a career in art, at least if I wanted to be able to pay bills. I was uninspired to paint for about for about seven years after graduating college. I recently found inspiration in my life to paint again.

Artistic Philosophy

My artistic philosophy is very different than most people. When they think of art, people tend to focus on the meaning that the art has. I focus on the emotion. When I look at a painting I want to feel good about myself. My paintings project positive energy onto the canvas. If you look at my paintings you find that many of them relieve stress just by getting lost in them for a few minutes.

I don't consider myself a very talented artist in the technical aspects of art. I do believe that I excel with creativity. My style utilizes color and brush strokes for cool visual effects. People often think they know what they see in my painting. However, often times they find themselves questioning what exactly they are looking at. I like the mild controversy it creates.

My signature is part of my artwork. I always sign my painting with creativity. I don't put my signature in the same place all the time. I often use colors to help my signature blend into the artwork but not always. Sometimes finding my signature is a challenge. At times you have to really look for it because it can blend in to the painting.

I think there is so much pain in life and I think of art as an escape from the negative aspects of life. I can't think of anything more beautiful than a sunset.

I currently live in West Roxbury, Massachusetts which is part of Boston. I am originally from Long Island New York.
